The haveli is situated on the waterfront of Lake Pichola at Gangori Ghat. Badwa found this wonderful place to build his dream. There are more than a hundred rooms in the palace with glass & mirror work in the interior.

Royal Takeover

After the death of Amar Chand Badwa, the management of the building would then be taken over by the Mewar State. Upon seeing the beauty of the haveli, the royal family decided to keep it as part of their estate.

Major Expansion (1878)

In 1878 Maharana Shakti Singh of Bagore made big changes to the haveli. He added three more stories and a triple-arched gateway. This made the haveli even more big and beautiful. People started calling it “Bagore ki Haveli” after Maharana Shakti Singh’s connection to Bagore.

Modern Times
